Already enjoying the power of Shopify Plus, Abbott Lyon was ready for a new look, greater personalisation, and an upgrade to Shopify’s Online Store 2.0. “High on the brand’s agenda was to take advantage of 2.0’s new features and functionality to deliver greater flexibility and in-house control,” says Scott MacDonald, Client Services Director at blubolt. “We delivered on this with a series of editable templates and a raft of new third-party integrations.”



A fresh bespoke theme to convey affordable luxury.
“We delivered a sleek theme design with muted pink accents and quality photography to allow the products to take centre stage,” says Matt Richards, Head of Design at blubolt. “It’s also consistent with the brand, which focuses on affordable luxury. Another key design element was incorporating product personalisation into the product pages. We’ve designed this user-friendly and intuitive way on the new site.”
Perfectly personalised products.
“Built with Shopify’s Online Store 2.0, we utilised every option to help Abbott Lyon personalise the customer experience and products,” says Richard Ayles, Head of Development at blubolt. “For example, on the product detail page for the brand’s ‘Signature Name Necklace’, customers can personalise the product by choosing chain length, the inscription, and adding their birthstone drop pendant.” The Shopify Plus new site also offers luxury gifting with gorgeous gift bags, complete with a personalised wax stamp seal!
Lastly, the team set up emails with Klaviyo, search and filters with Boost Commerce, product options with Bold Commerce, Instagram feed with Covet.pics, and customer reviews from Reviews.io.
