Delivering a sleek redesign with added functionality on Shopify Plus.
“Already enjoying the power of Shopify Plus, WYSE sought a modern, sleek and elevated design to better showcase the high-quality products and premium nature of the brand,” says Kaja Sztuczka, Senior Project Manager at blubolt. “Additionally, WYSE wanted to more easily manage changes to product statuses (for example, for pre-orders, notify me when available, and coming soon), communicate their sizing system, and focus on nurturing their community of loyal customers.”
A sophisticated & modern design that reflects the brand.
“As a brand, WYSE London is effortlessly stylish, joyous, and very engaged with its customer base, so we factored this into the new design,” says Madeleine Gale, Design Lead at blubolt. “We designed a contemporary, streamlined design with a neutral colour palette and high-quality images and videos. We gave the site a magazine/editorial feel, with various sections bringing the in-store shopping experience online and drawing users into the WYSE community. For example, sections on customer reviews and a ‘What’s Happening’ carousel to showcase seasonal lookbooks, sizing information, FAQs, styling advice, and shops. We also added a section for the WYSE Instagram feed, which contains a great mix of the brand's content plus imagery from the customers. Importantly, all the elements have a consistent look and feel, which elevates the brand.”
Facilitating hassle-free product drops, pre-orders & coming soon functionality.
“WYSE has product drops almost every day and likes to build up customer interest in advance. However, they had issues with how this worked on their old site - the team had to add the product with no stock, take it back offline the night before the launch, and then re-upload it the following day! This caused all sorts of issues, for example, with onsite search and customers revisiting the site to find the old URL no longer existed,” says Luke Parry, Senior Developer at blubolt. “To solve this, we added ‘new coming soon’ and ‘launching at 9 am’ functionality, meaning the product can be added to the site without the need to take it back offline to add stock. We also added ‘Quick Add’ functionality, the ability to pre-order, back-in-stock notifications, and two options for lengths (regular and long) for selected clothing.”
The blubolt team also created additional page templates to showcase the brand’s personal styling service and Instagram Lives, where they share new product launches, give styling ideas, gather feedback, and chat with customers.
Lastly, tech partners on the project include Patchworks, Klaviyo for email marketing, Smart Wishlist for wishlists, Shopify’s Search & Discover for filtering and search, Rise.ai for gift cards and Global-e for internationalisation.
