Delivering a sleek redesign with improved functionality & speed on Shopify Plus.
“Already enjoying stability and conversions on Shopify Plus, Green People wanted to access new features and functionality via Shopify’s Online Store 2.0 as well as increase site speed,” says Kaja Sztuczka, Delivery Lead at blubolt. “Additionally, Green People wanted a fresh, contemporary design to complement the brand’s story and unique selling points.”
A contemporary, minimalist theme design to elevate the brand.
“Visually, we brought the theme design in line with Green People’s new minimalist style product packaging. We love how the clean lines and luxurious feel of the theme design convey the nature of the brand,” says Madeleine Gale, Design Lead at blubolt. “In order to build consumer trust in the effectiveness of Green People’s products, we also took care to clearly highlight product benefits on the PDP with a bespoke product details tabbing section. Another key priority for the brand was the mini cart design, specifically delivering unique functionality to give customers more benefits (more details below).”
New features & functionality, including Shopify Markets.
“As part of the upgrade to Shopify’s Online Store 2.0, we delivered a raft of new features and functionality to Green People. First, we expanded the brand’s global reach by implementing Shopify Markets (including German and Spanish translations),” says Jon MacKinnon, Tech Lead at blubolt. “Second, we added gift with purchase functionality, delivered a new high-performing checkout, and implemented Videowise to help improve speed on pages with “How-to” videos as well as shoppable UGC content. Third, we worked with Octane AI to create the bespoke skincare routine finder and Nosto to enable shoppers to purchase all items in their custom routine as a bundle.”
Automatic discounts with Shopify Functions & more.
To continue maximising Shopify features and functions, the blubolt team created three automatic discounts using Shopify Functions. This included discounts for free sample products, tiered gifts with purchase products that unlock based on basket value, and product upsells in the mini cart that is only displayed and discounted based on the items in the user’s basket.
Additional tech partners on the project include Klaviyo for email marketing, Skio for subscriptions, Bubblehouse for loyalty, Reviews.io for reviews, Algolia for search, Gorgias for customer service, Storemapper for finding stockists, LangShop for translations, Dataships for opt-in optimisation, and Smart Wishlist for wishlists.
