Green People.

Green People has been a pioneer of organic skin care for 25 years. Founder Charlotte Vøhtz was inspired to create the brand after finding that existing companies didn't offer truly natural products to suit her daughter’s allergy-prone skincare. Prioritising certified organic ingredients and ethical sources, the Green People product range (which includes skincare, haircare, makeup and wellbeing products) “blends science with nature” to deliver impressive results with a clear conscience.

The challenge

Redesigning for a faster, more flexible future on Shopify Plus.

Green People were already performing well on Shopify Plus, but their team wanted to unlock the features and functionality of Online Store 2.0. They needed a contemporary redesign that matched their refreshed brand aesthetic, a more intuitive customer experience, and improved site speed. To support long-term growth, they also wanted the site to better communicate product efficacy, reduce journey friction, and introduce new features that would scale internationally.

The solutions

A contemporary theme design aligned with a journey-led experience.

We began by aligning Green People’s digital presence with their new minimalist packaging. The result is a clean, luxurious design that helps customers instantly recognise the brand’s values: purity, quality and trust.

Our journey-led approach shaped every design decision. We mapped customer pathways across product discovery, consideration and purchase, then refined the experience to reduce friction at each stage.

Key improvements included:

- A bespoke product details tab system on the PDP to clearly communicate benefits, ingredients and routines.

- A refined mini cart with tailored functionality to support informed decisions and increase basket value.

This created a consistent, seamless experience that reflects how real customers explore the range.

New features & functionality, powered by Online Store 2.0.

The move to Online Store 2.0 opened the door to a series of high-impact enhancements:

- Shopify Markets implementation to support global growth, including German and Spanish translations.

- Gift with purchase functionality and an upgraded, high-performing checkout.

- Videowise integration to improve page load speeds while enabling rich “how-to” content and shoppable UGC.

- Octane AI to deliver a tailored skincare routine finder, helping customers build confidence in what they need.

- Nosto recommendations that allow customers to buy their full personalised routine as a bundle.

Each feature was selected and configured to support acquisition, conversion and retention across the full customer journey.

Smarter promotions & a more intuitive cart with Shopify Functions.

To maximise Shopify’s native capabilities, we introduced automated discounts using Shopify Functions. These included:

- Free sample promotions based on basket behaviour.

- Tiered gift with purchase incentives that unlock at increasing basket values.

- Dynamic mini cart upsells tied to product combinations in the customer’s basket.

These improvements made promotions clearer, more rewarding and easier to manage.

A connected tech stack for long-term journey-led growth.

Green People’s ecosystem was expanded and aligned to support scalable performance. Integrations included Klaviyo for email, Skio for subscriptions, Advanced Commerce for merchandising, Bubblehouse for loyalty, Reviews.io for social proof, Gorgias for customer service, Storemapper for store locations, LangShop for translations, Dataships for opt-in optimisation and Smart Wishlist for wishlists. By embedding behavioural insights across these touchpoints, we created cohesive journeys rather than isolated tactics.
